The participants of the 5th Ecumenical Social Week on September, 26 visited community of mutual aid "Oselia" and "L'Arche-Ark" in Lviv.

Guests of Social Week got acquainted with the social work of the community "Oselia," which already has been working for 10 years of Lviv and belongs to the international movement "Emmaus" that helps homeless worldwide. Community provides shelter and employment for people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, involving them in the process of changing their lives. Residents of the community suppors themselves with work of their own hands: they gather from inhabitants clothes, household items, do things in workshop, repair furniture, work in a charity store.

Later, the participants of the jubilee ESW visited house of community "L'Arche Ark," "Vytaniya", in which occasionally can live mentally disabled persons, together with volunteers and assistants. Community "L'Arche-Ark" exists in Ukraine since 2008 and has 71 person with special needs. The peculiarity of this community is the basic 5-day program-workshop, operating in different parts of the city. In these workshops "friends" (so called disabled people in this community) make various products: cards, jewelry beads, decorative candles and icons.
