During the 6th Ecumenical Social Week, on October 3 in Lviv, participants visited the social organizations of the city – a workshop of the community “L’Arche” for people with intellectual disabilities “Bdzhilky” (Bees) and the Integrated Care Center for women in crisis situations.

The guests were greeted with warmth and happiness by members of the community “L’Arche” on the premises of the workshop “Bees”, which is located on the territory of St. Volodymyr and Olha (St. Symonenka, 5A). Oksana Mahura, the community leader of “L’Arche” in Ukraine, spoke about the basics of life and leisure. Visitors could watch how participants were making greeting cards, necklaces with beads, candles of different shapes and colors, icons on wooden bases.

Then they went to the other end of the city, to Staroznesenska Street , 58, where women in difficult circumstances were supported. Social worker Mrs. Iryna told how women that had been experiencing crises in their lives were re-integrated into society.

Residents of both social organizations, despite the difficulties and hardships of life, showed that they all deserve attention and respect in society.
