Within the framework of the 6th Ecumenical Social Week, a meeting in the spirit of Taize was held on October 4. In the chapel of the Faculty of Philosophy and Theology of UCU, the Lviv community equipped its space for a thoughtful prayer – a cross in the middle of the room, tiny candles, rugs on the floor. Everything helped to get closer in thoughts to God.

The guest of honor of the meeting was Father Hryhoriy Draus. Then, on Skype, Fr. Benoit from France joined the prayer and conversation. The dialogue was conducted in English, the faithful put a variety of questions, including whether Pope Francis will visit the Taize meeting in Strasbourg.

Among the repertoire of devotional songs were such as “The kingdom of God”, “Spiritus Jesu Christi”, “Ubi caritas” and others. The community prayed for the elderly, abandoned, those without relatives or friends, for the inhabitants of Europe and Ukraine to have open hearts to God.
